Due to variations in leakage current, supercapacitors require careful balancing when connected in series. A new printed circuit board (PCB) offers a “plug-and-play solution” for balancing supercapacitors, minimizing added leakage current and power consumption. The PCB can balance up to four supercapacitors in series, accommodating a wide range of capacitance values, and is ideal for energy-efficient applications.
